Sherri A. Becker is the president and founder of The Marketing Department and has a successful marketing and business career that spans more than 20 years. Before opening The Marketing Department, she began her career as a Business Development Officer in an Iowa bank and later, owned and operated a gourmet food and catering business in Cedar Rapids, Iowa before opening a distributorship that retailed men’s shirts and accessories in Overland Park.
This mix of industry and entrepreneurial experience gives her an understanding of the challenges growing businesses face and enhances her expertise in marketing for a variety of companies. Thanks to her experience, she can easily relate to businesses of all sizes and understand the kinds of challenges her clients face in getting their products and messages to potential clients. She is skilled at creating just the right strategy or team to reach the solution, on time and within budget.
Her background of hands on marketing, strategic planning, project management, coaching and training is shown in her leadership of The Marketing Department. She seeks proven methods to provide service and coach her clients in the best methods and techniques. Sherri is a licensed facilitator of Get Clients NOW!tm, coaches clients on the MAP system, and is a FasTrac Facilitator. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Baker University and is on the Board of Directors for The Central Exchange, and a member of National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).
